Ellie Goulding @ The Olympia Theatre with support Charli XCX and Matthew Koma.

“Following a sweet, breathy rendition of Elton John’s ‘Your Song’, a couple at the front of the stage call out for Ellie Goulding’s attention; they have a message for her that she can’t quite hear. “What… you got engaged, congratulations!” The happy news is greeted with excitement by the audience and is celebrated by the keyboard player who jokingly starts playing the wedding march. Ellie seems honoured to witness the surprise announcement.” – State.ie

I had the pleasure of shooting the awesome Unwinding Cables in Cork on a cold frosty morning earlier this year. They are an Irish Afro-Punk band formed by frontman Zelen and drummer Ovi  with the former’s twin brother Zen completing the line-up. Last night the boys released their EP in The Pavilion Cork, They’ll also be playing in Camden Crawl this year, 3rd-5th May.

One of my photos of the band were featured in State’s Faces of 2013 Magazine and Digital Combination. View the gallery and read the magazine below.

There is sold out and then there is SOLD OUT, the latter applies to this Johnny Marr gig in The Academy on Wednesday, what an incredible show by the guitarist who has played in some of the biggest (and some of my personal favourite) bands to date! The Smiths, Modest Mouse & The Cribs to name but a few, there aren’t too many bands that Johnny hasn’t collaborated with at one time or another.

Here are my photos of the night for state.ie, you can read Desmond Traynor’s review of the gig for state over here.

It’s that time of the year again, the one day where everybody’s Irish!

Below are some Irish themed LEGO photos I created and a photo I took of The Rock of Cashel on Thursday night, Camera was panned from side to side, What I like best is the capture of our Irish flag colours!

The Rock is one of 27 Irish landmarks going green until March 18th for St Patrick’s Festival.
